Jonas Kaufmann: O Lieb (Opus Klassik Awards)

Jonas Kaufmann performs “O Lieb“ by Liszt at the Opus Klassik Awards in 2022 with pianist Helmut Deutsch. Jonas was honoured as Singer of the Year for his album “Liszt - Freudvoll und Leidvoll,“ and accepted a second award for the Opera Recording of the Year for Korngold’s Die Tote Stadt (released on DVD and Blu-ray). Kaufmann accepted this second award on behalf of Kirill Petrenko, the Bavarian State Orchestra and his colleagues; the Bavarian State Opera production, which also recently won a Gramophone Award, features Kaufmann in the extremely demanding role of Paul.
