The RMS Mülheim wreck in 2020

An engineering analysis In this video I go down to the Mülheim wreck site in Cornwall to find out what is left of it after 17 years of being pounded by the sea. As an engineer I was primarily interested in identifying any ship components I could find, and particular I hoped to locate its Deutz Diesel engine. Marine engineering isn’t my field of expertise (I’m more comfortable building cars!) so here I’m applying my existing knowledge to try to make sense of what is visually still available. I’ve not covered the cause of the wreck here. I find the official explanation rather too bizarre to comment on! However, I can declare that there was no suggestion of mechanical or engine failure.
