Pf: Kristina Miller YouTube: Website: Stumbling upon Kristina Miller’s performances is like stumbling upon a goldmine, and it’s a real shame that she doesn’t have more notoriety on YouTube than she already does. She has a bravado in her pianism that is quite unlike many other pianists today. Despite her repertoire consisting of some treacherously difficult works, she manages to play them with very little hesitation in her gusto - if anything, her video performances show her having fun on the piano most of the time! I can’t continue without mentioning her tackling of some of Cziffra’s paraphrases, which sometimes sound like lost remasters of the 20th century virtuoso himself.
