Gamba Osaka’s 2021 AFC Champions League campaign came to an end after they were beaten 2-1 by Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at Bunyodkor Stadium on Saturday. A superb 51st minute goal from striker Patric hinted at a Gamba recovery after they had fallen behind to an early Gustavo penalty, but a late goal from Jeonbuk substitute Modou Barrow shut the gate on the Japanese side, who had to win on the night to progress.
