Aged 28 I sold my house, quit my job, and set off on my lifes great find the LOCH NESS MONSTER. This documentary tells my fantastic story. I filmed everything for a year, and then with the aid of the BBC we created this programme. It was first shown on Saturday 1st August 1992, as part of the BBC 2 ’Video Diary’ series. Immediately it featured on radio 4s ’Pick of the week’ & Ann Robinsons ’best of the week’ programme. At the time I made this programme the general public had never been able to make programmes for the TV, this series was the very first example of a format that is now considered pretty much standard for television. Be warned! This programme may change your life. Since it first aired on national TV I have met many people who have felt the need to make a journey to Loch Ness, to come and find me, still sat on the shore, still living in the same van.... still not found it, still blissfully happy, people come to say hello, and to say thanks, “thanks for making that programme, it tipped me over the edge, made me follow my own dream, made me have an adventure, thank you.“ So you have been warned, life might not be quite the same after watching this.
