Mayhem❌Dead cutting himself on the stage - Chainsaw Gutsfuck 1990 Live
The True Mayhem ⚠ “Chainsaw Gutsfuck“ Live in Jessheim 1990 with Dead and Euronymous.
2:12 «I cut my arms with a weird knife and a crushed coke bottle. Most of the people in there were wimps and I don‘t want them to watch our gigs» Dead/Pelle on Jessheim gig.
⚠ Bard Faust words on that gig :
«Few, if any, gigs in the history of Norwegian metal are as mythical and legendary as the gig Mayhem played in the relatively futile Norwegian “city“ of Jessheim on the 3rd of February 1990. In some aspects, this is black metal equivalent of the infamous Sex Pistols gig at Pingvin Club in Oslo in 1977, were several thousand people have in retrospect claimed to be there, whereas the club only holds around 200 people. The Mayhem gig holds the same kind of status. But i was there, i don’t need to wrongfully claim that now, 27 years later. I was 16 at the time and traveled over 400 kilometres by train to stay at Mayhem’s apartment in Vevelstad. Just nearby the town Ski. I arrived the night before the gig. The apartment was full of people; Nella (who drew the original Mayhem logo), Demonaz from soon to-be Immortal, Maniac, two people from a Greek fanzine and a bunch of crazy people from Sarpsborg and Fredrikstad area. The atmosphere was god damn electric. I had never felt such a vibe before. This was the real deal; the sickest and rawest band in Norway and their friends. For a young fella from Osterdalen, this was a life chaning event. The day after Maniac, his girlfriend, Nella and I went to buy some beers. I guess i had one the other guys buying it for me, since i was not 18 and could not purchase beer at the grocery store. In the afternoon we all took the train to Jessheim. I gess the train station in Jessheim never ever since saw such a nefarious and out of this world-looking gang of people. After arriving at the Folkets Hus, i was lucky to get inside and listen to the Mayhem soundcheck. I cannot remember specific details about the show; i was just struck in awe and probably my jaw was downat my chest. But i remember Pelle cutting himself, badly. It was horrific, absurd and something that underlined his extreme stage persona. Anyhow, after the gig, the Mayhem apartment in Vevelstad hold a nachspiel of course. But Pelle was, if possible, even more pale than ever; he had lost a lot of blood and had some pieces of garment wrapped aroud his wrist. Then, he took the Norwegian national dish out of the oven; pizza Grandiosa. Needless to say that was the top of the crop. What more is there to say? Not much really. I used to say these days that i have never seen Mayhem as good as that gig in 1990. but obviously i am not objective; i was 16, i traveled a full day to see my favourite band and it became the one gig which i shall compare all others to fot the rest of my life. Rest in peace Oysten and Pelle.»
