I read that A. Vaganova said that before the assmblé is mastered, the students cannot progress. If we would follow this rule strictly, we may never get any further at all. Although, it is one of the first jumps in class, it is also one of the most difficult one because of its challenging coordination and timing of brushing-jumping-closing.
