🔴 Ukraine War - Helmet Cam Captures Russian Air Assault Troops First Capture Of Hostomel Airport

Ultra high definition but pretty selective footage released the Russian Ministry of Defense shows the moment when Russian air assault troops captured the Hostomel Airport on the 24th of February 2022. The video was recorded with a helmet cam by one of the Russian airborne soldiers participating in the battle. Since there is not much visible resistance seen in this video it is safe to assume that this landing operation was conducted during Phase 2 of the initial air assault since there were already Russian troops operating on the ground visible from the helicopters. Also this videos still gives a great look on the armament of Russian air assault troops. As the video shows the assault led to the capture of the airport but Ukrainian forces started a counteroffensive later that day giving them back control over the airport shortly after. Hower Russian forces still managed to capture the airport again and hold it till this day even if it is not usable due to heavy Ukrainian shelling. WarLeaks - Military Blog
