Always think outside the box when trying new schemes! Starting with a metallic undercoat when painting Warhammer miniatures may sound crazy but it works! It’s also really fun to paint minis this way too. This Salamander space marine, for example, takes a lot of the yellow tones from the gold so when we are done painting the green is bright and has a very subtle shine. This paint scheme combines lots of different painting methods - slapchop, underpainting, highlighting, shdaing - to name just a few.
