Since this completely uncommented video that was only made as a proof of concept for the Starfield speedrunning discord blew up big in views you might get this recommended and wonder what the hell you are looking at. The content creator tomatoanus - a speedrunner for good reasons well known in the community - made a video [1] about speedrunning Starfield and within the comments there was a small gem by the user Foxtrot_67 that you could skip the animation you usually get when using a train by “entering“ from the front. This would save time every time we use that train as it actually gets counted as game time and no one noticed it so far. Netami already showcased the “Foxtrot skip“ the very next day at GDQ Hotfix [2]. This saves about 4-6 seconds in most categories (where we use the train once) and triple that in the UC Vanguard quest line category. This video is just a proof of that working, that was only made for roughly 10 speedrunners - I usually set these to unlisted - but GamesRadar linked it in a slightly exaggerated article about the finding. Next time I’ll add some comments to these ;). In any case we are quite happy she figured that out and hope that the rest of you also share your glitches with your local speedrunning community.
