The clouds had been hanging a little lower over the pretty heads of La Luz this winter—Seattle’s rainy season in full effect and the remnants of the band’s dramatic, near-death experience lingered—but when their new van rolled up in The Haight, four badass babes stepped out with confidence. Fearless and hungry, the ladies climbed to the rooftop perch and feasted on spicy Mexican food and California sunshine. The bruises healed, the busted bits replaced—theses are humans who persevere, with fancy arm motions to match. Nothing but delightful, creepy Pink Slime ahead.
