The visual video for ‘When I’m Gone’ is here! During lockdown with very minimal resources, Emma Hiley from Context Films and I decided to create a visual video for ‘When I’m Gone’ to keep us motivated and inspired. I’ve had synesthesia my whole life, which plays a big part in the way I experience the world and write music - it’s a type of condition that means my senses (especially eyesight, touch and hearing) are experienced in colours. This sparked the concept and idea for the video. We wanted to create a visual which reflects the way I feel the colours with this song. A little insight to how my brain lives in disco lights a lot of the time😇 (definitely not complaining about that!). Super interested to hear if anyone else can recognise this feeling, or ‘feel’ particular colours when listening to this song. LET A GAL KNOW!
