“Feeding“ the Monstrously Powerful GAU-8A Avenger • A-10 Ammo Load

Two video episodes of the U.S. Air Force Airmen while conducting loading the ammunition onto the A-10 Thunderbolt II’s GAU-8/A Avenger internal system for upcoming exercises. The ammunition loading system(GFU-8) is able to upload and download the 30mm rounds simultaneously, enabling the aircraft’s gun to be reloaded rapidly for upcoming missions. The GFU-8 loads over 1,100 30-millimeter rounds of ammunition.
