Making beads from plastic bottle and wire | Recycling project For this project you need: plastic bottle, scissors, pliers, tweezers, thin and thick needle, lighter, knife and candle. Be sure to wear a fume mask to protect yourself from inhaling fumes while melting the plastic! You need metal wire, I used aluminum wire for this project which is easy to bend. We twist spirals from the wire. We twist 2 larger and 4 smaller spirals. Cut the bottle into strips and then into small squares With the thin needle we make holes in the squares, and then we line them up on the thick needle. For the beads in this project I ordered 12 squares. We melt the plastic with a candle, make sure that the plastic does not touch the fire so that it does not catch fire. Be sure to melt the plastic only with the heat of the fire. While the beads are heated, shape them with the knife. After getting the desired shape of the beads, we add the metal spirals. Music used:
