Peter Gabriel - I Don’t Remember

The official ’I Don’t Remember’ video, directed by Marcello Anciano and produced by Eric Fellner. I Don’t Remember was originally released on Peter’s third solo album but this video uses the live single version that was released in support of the Plays Live album, in 1983. That said, it’s not exactly the same as the version on the Plays Live album, as this single mix is slightly sped-up, has less crowd noise and an extended instrumental outro. The song was written by Peter Gabriel and co-produced with Peter Walsh at Shabbey Road Studios, Bath, which was the affectionate name the pair gave to Gabriel’s home studio at Ashcombe House. This live single mix is available on the compilation album Flotsam and Jetsam: Hear the Plays Live version: Hear the original PG3 album version: Follow Peter Gabriel on Spotify: I DON’T REMEMBER I got no means to show identification I got no paper to show you what I am You’ll have to take me just the way you find me What’s gone is gone and I do not give a damn Empty stomach (empty head) I got empty heart and empty bed I don’t remember I don’t remember I don’t remember, I don’t recall I got no memory of anything at all I don’t remember, I don’t recall I got no memory of anything - anything at all Strange is your language and I have no decoder Why don’t you make your intention clear With eyes to the sun and your mouth to the soda Saying “tell me the truth, you got nothing to fear“ Stop staring at me like a bird of prey I’m all mixed up, I got nothing to say I don’t remember Oh, I don’t remember I don’t remember, I don’t recall I got no memory of anything at all I don’t remember, I don’t recall I got no memory of anything - anything at all I don’t remember, I don’t recall I got no memory of anything at all I don’t remember, I don’t recall I got no memory of anything - absolutely anything at all I don’t remember #MusicVideo
