As part of the command post exercise of the Pacific Fleet with the combined command of the forces in the north-eastern part of the Russian Federation, the Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft successfully carried out a practical bombing of ground targets at an aviation training ground in the coastal area of the Pacific Ocean. While returning to a departure airfield, Il-38 crews trained piloting in the area without any description-points and in the absence of ground-based air navigation equipment.
