5 Center Activities for Practicing Phonological Awareness

Phonological awareness refers to the awareness of sounds in words - no letters involved, just words! It’s a building block for phonics instruction, and it’s important to include! A lot of phonological awareness activities are teacher-led, but I think it’s also crucial for students to have practice where they are leading the charge and working independently! In this video, I’ll go through a few resources that students can do on an individual basis to strengthen their phonological awareness skills.
