Full title reads: “Robinson Crusoe up-to-date!“ Near Folkestone, Kent. Families living in tents on beach. Background: George and Sarah Chandler moved down onto the beach in 1928 with their 7 children, after the family business collapsed. They lived there until the start of the war when they weren’t allowed to live on the beach any longer. The family expanded to 13 while they were down there. One allegedly had ‘on the foreshore’ written on her birth certificate. Shot List: Various shots of camp of makeshift tents at bottom of white chalk cliffs.
