The Biggest FPS Game You’ve Never Heard Of - CrossFire

When you hear the words “most popular FPS game”, what comes to mind? Halo, Call of Duty, CS:GO, or VALORANT? Back when I started playing online video games with my friends, there was one thing we all wanted to play: shooters. Most of us couldn’t afford Xbox Live or high-end gaming PCs, but thankfully, we were growing up at a time when free-to-play online shooters that didn’t require a beefy rig were being churned out left-right, and center. Among the games we played, one title would go on to be picked up by one of the largest video game publishers in the world, who envisioned an esports scene that could rival that of CS:GO. Unfortunately, some dreams are a little too big, and though the game ended up surviving for a decade longer than most had anticipated, it ended up flopping hard. This, is CrossFire.
