VR First Person Movement Prototype (Rift DK2 + Razer Hydra)
just a quick and dirty first person thing to try out some movement mechanics based on ’click and drag’ style motions with the Hydra controllers.
Probably the worst thing for motion sickness is rotation using sticks/buttons, so to combat this I used a “click and drag“ style input which hides the world geometry, shows a non-rotating floor as a point of reference, and a ’compass’ that you rotate with the left hand to rotate your perspective.
