Why did BMW abandon the Rover 75 after just 12 months?
The Rover 75 is a car with a identity crisis. Is it the laid-back, easy listening, pipe and slippers Rover 75, the hard-driving, death-metal, V8 monster that is the MG ZT, Or is it the wannabe Chinese Bentley sold as the MG7? Identity crisis or not, why was a car that received more investment than any Rover before it dropped like a hot brick by its parent company barely twelve months after it was launched, while it was receiving glowing reviews? This video covers the Rover 75, MG ZT, MG ZT-T, Roewe 750 and MG7.
