Nissan March Superturbo

In 1988 Nissan decided to enter into a 1600cc class of rally. The chassis they decided to use was the K10 shape Nissan Micra. Due to the fact they were going to use a supercharger, and the ’penalty’ this gave them, they scaled the original 988cc engine to 930cc by reducing the bore of the engine. Since the 930cc engine was lacking in any meaningful torque below the point the turbo operated, they then added a supercharger. The car was then known as the Nissan March Superturbo. Only a handful exist in the UK.
