How to play a Bossa Nova with brushes I refer to this specific pattern as the One-Direction Bossa: Here’s how: Step 1️⃣ (Subdivision = 8th notes) RH starts on the ‘and’ of 1, and plays and of 1, 2 and 3, the beat 4 in the 1st bar, then Beats 1,2 and 3, then ‘ands’ of 3 and 4.
