The Haunting Sound of Kulning

Kulning is a herding call that people in Sweden used to get the cattle back home. To call the cows they used a high pitch kulning that sound almost haunting and eerie. To call sheep they used a lower pitch sound. I think it sounds so mystical and moody in a beautiful and relaxing way. It echoes over the forest and makes me think of fairies dancing in the forest. Or sirens. Or something else a bit mysterious and magical. In this video I will tell you how kulning is inspiring my music.
