Dona Dona is an old Yiddish song, quite popular, lyrics by Aaron Zeitlin (thanks to KameaMedia for the information!).
We sang it in both Yiddish (me) and English (My Friend C., who also plays the guitar much better than I do :-)). The English lyrics:
