ZX Spectrum: The Best Vertical Spaceship / Aircraft Shooters 1982-1995

Huge playlist archive with lots of similar videos: My category for these games is that it has to be some sort of spaceship or aircraft you control and that it faces vertical direction and that the main firepower goes vertical. I have chosen just one favorite game for every year and except for 1993, where I could not find any vertical shooter, all years from 1982 to 1995 is represented. After 1995 there is not many of these games released anymore, but worth mentioning is “Chrimblast“ from 2015 and “RetroForce“ from 2017. The last one is a demake of the arcade game StarForce / MegaForce, and it runs at 50 fps!
