🎸DOWNLOADABLE TABS FOR THIS SONG: Every time I hear Hank Sr., I just have to stop what I’m doing and listen to every note. He always sounds like a ghost haunting the speakers. I’d say this is my favorite Hank song, but I think my favorite Hank song is whichever one I’m listening to at the time! I also love “Ramblin Man,” “Lonesome Highway,” and all of those slow tear-jerkers. When I was writing this arrangement for guitar, I knew I had to use the slide to recreate those vocal inflections he used. I especially love how he would approach his melody notes from below the note, and then slide up into them slowly, never quite hitting the actual note... you just can’t do that on guitar without the slide.
