Kremlin says Ukraine border raiders’ use of Western-made military hardware part of pattern

Russia will respond “extremely harshly“ to future incursions, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting with senior defense officials on May 24. The minister mentioned that the militants who broke into Russia’s Belgorod region with armoured vehicles the previous day was defeated. Meanwhile, The Kremlin said that these pro-Ukrainian fighters was using Western-made military hardware, which was consistent with the West’s growing involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
