NO, it’s not like that at all, I experimented with baking sourdough bread on the stove, and bingo, it’s possible! I leave the bread recipe here, the steps are standard as usual. In the morning I prepared the starter (I fed it)
50 g of sourdough starter (from the fridge)
50 ml of water
50 g of flour
Let it rise for 4-5 hours.
For bread
150 g of activated sourdough starter
500 ml of water (room temperature)
600 g of bread flour (white)
100 g of einkorn flour
20 g of salt
I baked the bread in a hot cast iron cauldron with a cast iron lid, for 2 hours and 40 minutes, on medium to low heat.
So I received a very nice bread, well baked on the inside, crispy on the outside, the only minus is that it didn’t brown too much on top, but that didn’t really affect the taste.😊
