Warp Distortion Effect | Adobe After Effects Tutorial

A while ago, a friend of mine showed me this music video from a band called Dayglow and asked whether I know a way to achieve the distortion effect. I didn’t know the answer then, but I had the time to experiment with it - and found some ways to achieve the look. This is the music video I mentioned: You actually see this kind of distortion effect a lot in music videos. Zayn - “Pillowtalk“ is another example.
