Can You Beat Baldur’s Gate 3 While Locked In First Person PoV?
First Person Baldur’s Gate 3 is The best gaming experience I’ve had since its release. Every fan of Baldur’s Gate 3 should see how amazing the world looks in this PoV. Despite being an isometric game, the developers have put insane detail into every inch of the world. So much so, that you just can’t really see it with the game’s default camera. That’s why in this video I’ve modded the game to be locked to a first person PoV, and took on the game’s combat exploration to see if you can still beat baldur’s gate 3 while locked in first person PoV. Hope you enjoy.

If people want a further explanation I’ll consider posting a video on it, but I did my best. Explanation For How I did this. (I reached the 5000 character limit while trying to explain this)
Mod Author, Mod Name, and what they did:
ESSENTIAL MODS:
Norbyte - Norbyte’s Baldur’s Gate 3 Script Extender - Necessary for other mods to function.
kassent - Native Mod Loader - Necessary for other mods to function.
Ersh - Native Camera Tweaks - This is how you can change the camera position and max zoom essential.
Ch4nKyy - WASD Character Movement- Lets you walk using WASD essential.
Gycicada - Remove Camera Move - Stops the camera moving while in Combat when using a ranged attack or melee attack. Essential.
Guilty7 - Choose your size - (I used the “Choose your size underwear slot” version. This lets you reduce the physical size of your character so that you will be able to see. The size is visual only which is perfect for this use. Essential
OPTIONAL MODS:
AlanaSP ShinyHobo Djmr and Zee - ImpUI (ImprovedUI) Patch7 Ready – Lets other mods function.
Caites - Better Maps All-In-One – Lets you hide the minimap for a bit more immersion while exploring.
AnteMaxx - Basket Full of Equipment. SFW version – I used this for one specific item. The ring of invisible woman. This makes your character model invisible for 10 turns. This does not give you the invisible buff though it just hides your body. Normally when you look down using these mods you will see your character… but you can use this to hide it for further immersion. I’m sure someone could create a mod for that function to replace this in an easier way…. But that is what I used in the video.
Once in game equip the underpants from the choose your size mod. I had used the -40% size and the -20% together with a 1.7 camera height and it felt about normal sized for a human. You move the camera with the middle mouse button, and need to hit Caps Lock at the start of combat to keep locked on your character while in battle. When out of battle you can move with WASD, but not while in combat. The 1.7 setting I used worked for the human female very well, but you will need to play with it for other races.
Once you have these mods you’ll need to edit the BG3 Native Camera tweaks in several different areas. If depending on your character’s race the “ExplorationVerticalOffsetMult” setting should be changed lower or higher to match your preference. You can save the file and see it update in real time in game which makes this easier.
