The Germanic Origins of Yule

In particular, the connection between Santa and Odin which I put forward is something of a stretch, as is the part connecting Yggdrasil with the Christmas Tree. Aside from that, I believe the video is still mostly informative, so I will leave it up for the time being. Today, Christmas is celebrated by millions across the world. It’s name and image is firmly ingrained in popular culture, and it stands as the biggest Christian holiday. But is Christmas really that Christian? How does it connect to its other name, Yule? And where did those traditions really come from?
