Duran Duran was formed in the late 70s - they were during their most successful time singer Simon Le Bon, bassist John Taylor, keyboardist Nick Rhodes completed by either Andy Taylor (80s) or Warren Cucurrullo (90s - guitar) and drummer Roger Taylor. They were one of the leading bands in the “second British invasion“ in the 80s when British musicians became popular in the US thanks to MTV.
