This 1958 Coronet Instructional Film, “Who Should Decide?“ examines the areas of their children’s lives that parents should have authority in. A teenager in a family writes an open letter about experiences where he found himself to be unfairly treated in the last week, notably about who he and his sister can hang out with, when they can come home, and how they can spend their money. These all caused fights with his parents. The film ends with him reading this letter to his parents.
