Sha’Carri Richardson wins the 100m in Budapest. August 21st, 2023

The Women’s 100m final at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Richardson wins from Lane 9 with a record time of after qualifying on time in the semis in 3rd place behind Marie Jose Ta Lou and Shricka Jackson. It’s the first American to win the 100m in 6years and the first time the US has won the 100m for both men (Noah Lyles) and women since 2017 and only the second time since 2005.
