Leonid Kogan - Sauret Cadenza to Paganini’s Violin Concerto No.1 [Remastered]

Leonid Kogan, Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire, Charles Bruck Recorded in 1955, remastered Over the last ten years, I’ve collected just about every recording of Leonid Kogan that I could find. Recently I began remastering the recordings that I’ve enjoyed listening to for such a long time. I’m not an audio engineer so this process is simple (primarily equalization and noise reduction), but I think these adjustments can go a long way and really bring out the core of Kogan’s sound. This recording of the Sauret cadenza was the first piece that I ever heard from Kogan, and I was immediately awestruck.
