After premiering DONBASS in Un Certain Regard at the 71st Cannes Film Festival, we had a chance to sit down to discuss the film with its director Sergei Loznitsa. Read our review of the film on Notebook: DONBASS abandons allegory for a bracing commitment to the present in a film that has such topical urgency one wonders why (or whether) it is fiction at all.
