The Azuchi–Momoyama Period (安土桃山時代 ) is the final phase of the Sengoku period (戦国時代) in Japan. These years of political unification led to the establishment of the Tokugawa shogunate.
The first part of this part of the Jidai Matsuri features Toyotomi Hideyoshi procession which includes his Five Commissioners (Go-Bugyō). There is Lord Maeda Gen’i (前田玄以), Lord Ishida Mitsunari (石田三成), Lord Asano Nagamasa (浅野長政), Lord Mashita Nagamori (増田 長盛) and Lord Natsuka Masaie (長束 正家).
