The Beginning of Humanity’s Conscious Participation in Evolution

How does Baal HaSulam describe the path of human development? What is the beauty of the language of a kabbalist? What is the uniqueness of our time in this developmental process? What is our conscious human role on the path of development? Baal HaSulam describes, “...the ‘evolving object’ is a living, feeling being, it suffers horrendous torments and pains while under the ‘press of development’ which carves its way ruthlessly…” In order for us to get to where we are today, how many different turns, cold spells, heat waves, floods and fires, diseases, and other calamities, did it take to get us here? And this endless suffering kabbalists call the “authority of heaven”! It is incredible how objective, concrete, and uncompromising the language of the kabbalist is when they describe the laws of nature.
