CU Painting of Paul Julius Baron de Reuter (born Israel Beer Josaphat), founder of the international Reuters News Agency, Reuters (in 1858 he persuaded the press to use his news telegrams). Various shots, in a small street in Aachen where he started a continental pigeon post to close the gap between Prussian telegraph line which ended at Aachen and the French line that ended in Brussels.
