The President spoke on the degradation of Western liberalism More and more often, democracy is interpreted as the rule not of majority, but of minority: they even contrast the traditional democracy and rule of people with a certain abstract freedom, and for that sake, democratic procedures, elections, majority, freedom of speech, and media objectivity can be sacrificed. The threat is the imposing of ideologies totalitarian in their essence and their becoming a norm. And that is what we see in the Western liberalism, that has descended, I believe, into extreme intolerance and aggression towards any alternative, towards any sovereign and independent thought — and today it justifies neo-Nazism, terrorism, racism, and even mass genocide of civilian population.
