“Scary . in the underground“ is a documentary series shot in St. Petersburg by a group of enthusiasts for Tricolor TV Satellite Information Channel with the audience of some 18,000,000 viewers. The musicians of Scary . talk about their everyday life and issues arising in the alternative music scene, covering the vast range of cultural events ignored by fashionable music channels and official mass media. The series feature those who dedicated their lives to independent music. The mixture of retrospective plots, pieces of advice to beginning musicians and true to life images of the Russian underground music scene create a unique and recognizable style of the series. The 4th installment of the series, entitled “Zeitgeist of the 1990s“ is an independent feature which discusses a very hard yet significant period in Russian history. Film duration: 20 minutes.
