SAAB concentrated its efforts on improving design and manufacturing processes. It installed new computer systems and factories full of robots. The result of this investment was the SAAB 900. It was an instant classic. It would be built from 1979 to 1993. It was enormously popular -- hundreds of thousands were sold around the world. The 900’s popularity stemmed from its feature-laden offerings. It came with independent suspension, coil springs and four-wheel disc brakes. It had self-repai
