Kensington Philadelphia on a Friday Morning - Can it get any Worse?

This is footage taken on Friday June 2, 2023. Today we are in Philadelphia’s most infamous neighborhood Kensington. This area is crazy and lives up to all the hype. What you see is real, is not a movie, and it’s not scripted. This is raw footage of the happenings of a small area just a few blocks of madness and chaos... no man’s land. Really its a stark view into addiction, poverty and crime on the streets of America’s cities. Philadelphia, like most American cities hit it’s peak population in the 1950’s and had been in decline for 60 years. However between 2010 - 2020 the city experienced a resurgence as the population grew almost 6%. Major crimes like murder were down, gentrification was in full swing and so the outlook was positive. 2020 that all came crashing down, the number of murders went from 353 in 2019 to 499 in 2020. In 2022 there were 516 murders in the city of Brotherly Love. Hopefully we can see a reduction in 2023 and this city can get back on track. Thank you for watching! Most Importantly Enjoy!
