📃 Оригинальное описание:
Max Payne 1 gets a little buggy if it runs with high frames per second. The game normally runs with Vertical Sync, but I forced it off due to the mouse lag it produced for me.
This is the only GAME BREAKING bug I’ve noticed resulting from high fps.
I discovered this when I tried to record the bug using fraps, but since fraps was only recording at 50 frames per second, I could not reproduce the bug. I put two and two together and bingo. That’s why the quality of the video is bad in the beginning since I recorded footage with my phone.
I suppose it makes sense since unintended things occur when you have high frames in other games like Quake.
There are probably a lot more minor bugs, but this is the only one that was game breaking.
SOLUTIONS:
1. Don’t force vsync off. Leave it on (it’s on by default).
2. Force vsync off but use a frame limiter (Dxtory, MSI Afterburner, Nvidia Inspector, etc. have ways of limiting your frames)
3. Leave vsync on but use a frame limiter in conjuction to eliminate most of the input lag. If your monitor is 60hz, then limiting frames to 60 or a few fps below vsync (like 58) will work. Anything below vsync’s cap might introduce subtle micro stutter which is why I only use a frame limit of 60 to maintain smooth gameplay :)
