The Church of God Members Receive the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost by Offering Earnest Prayers Just Like the Saints of the Early Church God answered Daniel’s prayer even before his prayer ended, and He gave the power of the Holy Spirit to lead 3,000 people to repentance on the Day of Pentecost as a result of prayer. In the same way, we need to always pray earnestly, believing that all the work of God is accomplished through prayer. God Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother Give Us What We Ask for and Let Us Find What We Seek Elijah alone defeated 850 false prophets through his sincere prayer, and Joshua’s earnest prayer made the sun and the moon stop. As we can see through these cases, it is through prayer that God gives us the ability to overcome all obstacles. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”
