The Balule Nature Reserve’s Black Mamba Anti-Poaching () Unit is the first of its kind: The majority of the team members are women. The main objective of the Black Mamba APU, founded in 2013 by Transfrontier Africa, is the protection of wildlife, but the team also to educates the youth of the communities that live on the boundaries of the Balule region.
