США хотят взять власть над Тик-Током - решение будет принято завтра

TIK TOK BAN TikTok might be on the chopping block in the United States, as the social media giant faces new calls to make some pretty big changes or risk being banned completely. It’s a long-running saga that just got a whole lot more interesting. Because the US is the closest it’s ever been to potentially banning TikTok for its 150 million American users. Tomorrow politicians there will vote on a new bill which would ban TikTok from being available on all US app stores, unless it cuts ties with its parent company ByteDance within the next 5 months and put Americans in charge of running it instead. You see, ByteDance is a Chinese owned company and countries like the US are worried that the Chinese government could have a little too much influence over the platform and its user’s data saying it could pose a security risk. Lawmakers say it’s not their aim to get rid of TikTok they just want to get rid of its foreign control. But the news has made a lot of creators and users pretty annoyed, while TikTok’s started putting out notifications like this, asking its American users to call their local politicians and give them a piece of their mind.
