The Fourth and final generation Pontiac Firebird was introduced in 1993. The entire line of the car was modified, making it highly aerodynamic with the inclusion of plastic bumpers to contain the weight and t-tops. In 1996, the WS6 package was also reintroduced, equipped with an atmospérique eight-cylinder longitudinal front engine in V which develops a max torque of 468 Nm from 4400 rpm and a max power of 324 hp at 5200 rpm, which is transmitted to the 17-inch rear wheels via a 6-speed manual. The installation of this engine led to the replacement of the basic bonnet with a version equipped with a double air intake to improve the cooling of the propulsion unit. The Firebird WS6 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h.
