“Rag...“ A La Francaise! (1932)

Full title reads: “Paris. ’Rag ...’ A la Francaise! Newly admitted students of Central Engineering College, have boisterous welcome from fellow students.“ Paris, France. Students in fancy dress walk around in front of a building. They are dress in Arabian outfits, some wear turbans, some fez’s, one chap is dressed as a belly dancer - two of them are wearing a very fetching camel costume. Fellow French students are looking on. Students dressed in their ordinary clothes follow on. Nice shots of the “camel“ dancing. The students have gathered round to watch. One or two of the students in costume are Black or Arab rather than having been blacked up. Other students perform a mock bullfight with two of their colleagues who are wearing a bull costume.
